    hi all
I went to one of these usa toploader wm’s yesterday and found a leak to be at the cold fillhose where it goes onto the fill valve, the plastic ring you turn had split in it 😯
I changed the fill hoses only to find they were both fairly tight to turn, the red hose dripped and the blue hose tightening nut started to crack again 😕
Do the american wpl top loaders have differnt threds on them wpl hoses are £40 each trade 😯 😯 😯
Anyone had probs with this one ( 2 years old but the customer reused the old hpt hoses and has now lost the hoses that came with the w/m if there were any )

I went to a fairly new one Friday and the hoses supplied have brass couplings but I have seen them with standard hoses fitted.

If memory serves me correctly , if the hose has a flow direction arrow on it , then the solenoid is american threaded ; the fill hose has our 3/4 bsp thread one end and the usa thread machine end

I am 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure that you will have a usa solenoid ( further thought reminded me that it was the maytag that had potentially either versions, almost certain that whirlpool is usa threaded solenoid )….
And if the incorrect hose has been forced on to the original solenoid , it is likely you will also need to replace this as well as the hose . i recall a thread earlier where someone mentioned that they force the bsp hose onto the solenoid ( effectively cutting a second thread 😯 ) make sure your PLI is up to date if you do this
