    I have a fairly new machine (not quite a year old yet) and whichever cycle I put it on as soon as it gets halfway through the cycle it starts squealing really loudly! If I turn the drum by hand it does not make this noise so I do not think that it is bearings?? Please could someone help!!!!

    This will be the drum shaft seal running dry probably not properly lubricated on assembly.
    Better get the manufacturer engineer in before the warranty expires as if left it can get expensive to repair.

    EFS is correct. This is a common manufacturing fault on these machines.
