This bloke rang me last week to say that this machine made a ‘crack’ then stopped. He was going on holiday so his mother let me in at 7.00 am this morning on her way to work. Because she had to leave and due to the fact that the sockets had power but the lights were out ( consumer unit in locked garage) 😥 I was pushed for both time amd illumination, is was a dark kitchen.

I have had a couple of mains filters blowing or ‘cracking’ on these but the mains filter is perfect and all the base components appear perfect, no water ingress etc.
I plugged it in and the top ‘6 Normal’ neon, the Start button and the Pre Rinse indicator are all lit but turning the knob or pressing buttons had no effect, as dead as a dodo.

Due to the woman pressurising me because she had to leave I did not get round to opening up the main PCB, could this be the possible cause?
