    Hi All,

Had the dryer 2nd hand for a number of years and it has always leaked from the detergent drawer.
Its now rusting the front panel and ruining the cupboard that its housed in and before its chucked thought I would ask for anyone who may know where the fault may be?
Ive thoroughly cleaned the drawer to ensure no blockages and ive checked the door seal but this model does not have the 2nd lip which seems to be a sock trapper 🙂
Weve turned the water pressure down and run every possible cleaner through but nothing changes the fault.
Does anyone have any experience on these that couple guide me?

This is what I think may be happening. Go to Google and type in Partmaster then follow the prompts to your model number. Find dispenser and click on that part and a picture will show up with the dispenser shown upside down. That nozzle that you see is of course where the fill water rushes through via a rubbber hose to fill the machine. One half of that nozzle though acts as a breather and if that gets blocked up inside your machine, as it fills up, goes into a semi vacuum mode which causes the filling water to flood out of the soap box because the air within the machine, being displaced by the water, has nowhere to escape. The Partmaster part number is 3800498pm. Dismantle to check and clean it out before buying anything you do not need to!

Thanks very much for the reply and I apologies for the lack of response.
I did indeed strip the front from the machine disconnected everything I could, reseated everything and put back together, its been 6 months now and not a single drop has leaked.
I did notice at the time there were 2 of these machines for sale on various sites and both had the same issue, I suspect that Whirlpool are perhaps not assembling the system correctly.
Thank you again though for the advice.
