Whirlpool 859204215010 heater replacement

I’m having trouble fitting an element to Whirlpool WWDC8420/2, the part number of element I’m fitting is : c00312066. Has anyone else had trouble fitting these the bugger keeps popping back out when I tighten it ?

cant confirm correct part number
looked in connect no heater listed
looked in Qualtex but had to search WWDC8420 gave no results if i added /2

Qualtex gave part number C00311143 against your number of C00312066

you need to double check as your number may well be correct for the /2 variant but have no whirlpool access

That is the correct part number Allan. not sure why it is popping out though 😕

Thanks, at least I know it’s the correct part. It is strange it pops out when I tighten the nut. I’ll go back and scratch my head :bang:
