whirlpool adg 6430 start button flashing 7 times

My dishwasher has decided not to work today and is flashing at me. It has a pattern of 7 flashes then a pause. Can anyone tell me what the problem is and how to solve it? Any help would be much appreciated – thanks

it’s not filling check that the water is turned on also you could try the inlet filter by taking of the inlet pipe on the machine (after swiching it off and turning the water off!!) if it is neither of these call a local engeneer (one available on this very website look up repairs@ ) 😉

cheers chalky you have saved me at least 39 quid must have been a kink in water inlet or summat like that
