whirlpool adg 7440 dishwasher memory prob?

Hi,I was away for 3 weeks and when I returned home my dishwasher was beeping constantly.It won’t wash,it’s only been used for 10 months but the guarantee has expired as the builder who sold us the house had bought it new 4 months before we moved in.

It seems as if the memory is clogged. The machine is defaulting to the “pre rinse” cyle, the start light keeps flashing and when you close the dishwasher door the machine keeps beeping.

I have tried turning on and off the main power supply, no filters are blocked or dirty. I have held the start button for 15 seconds to try and clear the fault but to no avail.
Can anyone help with this problem?

Count the flashes on the led above the start button. It should flash a sequence, pause, then repeat the seaquence. Post the result here and someone will answer.
You may still have a warranty, have you spoke to Whirlpool? Your date of purchase is the completion date.

The start light should be flashing in a “sequence” of some sort, x flashes then pause etc…

If you can count them and let us know, hopefully it may point toward a fault code of some sort.
