Whirlpool ADG 7470/1 – unable to reset

This dishwasher has 8 flashes, found glass in pump, removed glass and cleaned it out. There were water on the base but the water was left standing for a long time, I don’t think there are other issues as I think it was overflowed when it tried to drain.

I can’t reset it even turned power supply off. Unable to megger it as it’s hard wired. Wondering if it need overnight drying out before starting?

Any info would be good as the customer is throwing a wobbler and threatening to buy a new dishwasher which I am reluctance to go down the route for number of reasons as one of them is time consuming and Christmas.

Oddly enough it cured itself after disconnection of 24 hours.
