Whirlpool ADG 7650 Problem

Hi all,

After googling about the problem with my dishwasher, I’ve just discovered this site.

I have a Whirlpool ADG 7650 which has just started playing up.

On a (cold) rinse programme, it now heats the water, as when it finishes, everything is piping hot.

On any of the wash programmes, (even low temperature), the cycles never finishes and the dishwasher aborts the cycle and drains, then the buzzer constantly pulses on and off until it the dishwasher is switched off. The ‘In Use’ LED flashes one short flash, and a one second pause (aprox.), and the contents of the dishwasher is *very* hot.

It’s as if the heating element won’t switch off and a thermal cut out is shutting it down.

The dishwasher is cold fill only BTW.

Does the single flash of the LED suggest error code 1? If so, does any one know where I can find error codes for my model? I’ve searched (this forum, and google) but not found anything useful.

It seems to have sorted itself out, as it now woks fine after a day or so of rest, but I guess it is a sign that its about to fail.
