Whirlpool ADG 9540 – Door Fault

The door on our built in ADG 9540 has suddently gone strange.

It has a different amount of resistance when nearly closed (specifically it flops open a little more), and will not open past 20 degrees off horizontal (normally opens to completely flat).

I can see no sign of anything fouling the exposed hinged area, and we did not notice any strange breaking noises.

Does this correspond to any standard problem with these dishwashers?

More than likely the plastic “break” situated at the corners of the hinge where the hinge tension band goes round; they tend to erm well break 😆
