most probs ive had with these is
1st t.mister @ sump, mostly give probs on heat…ie m/c runs for about 20 mins then aborts prog… (doesnt fit with your prob)
2nd pressure sensor @ sump, gets stuck with grease etc… half turn takes it out, give it a good clean @ sink…most times ive had to replace this part??

Does it come up with a fault code (start light flashing) and if so how many flashes?

Sounds very much like the pcb if it won’t program but doesn’t show a fault code. Worth checking the usual suspects first though like the NTC and leaks etc?
You could always wing the pcb to EMW?July 3, 2007 at 8:54 am #218916machineman

Have any of your mates got a Whirlpool SAM module they would let you borrow?
You can read faults & re-program the eeprom with it and sometimes this is all that it needs.
Failing that you could buy one from Connect (order ref 5045170805081).
You only need to save the cost of a couple of modules and it’s paid for itself 😉
Needs updating now and then so you need a friendly Whirlpool agent to put new model codes in once a year or so.Steve
