Whirlpool ADG 957 constant beeping at end of cycle

My Whirlpool occasionally at the end of its wash cycle sits and constantly beeps until the door is opened or its switched off rather than just the normal couple of beeps.

Now, at present its not big deal but just in case its a sign of things breaking down?? Machines about 5 years old.

See if the start light is flashing a pattern – ie 1-2-3-4-pause-repeat.

It finally did it again.

When it happens, I do a full normal wash and at the end of the cycle it starts to beep – a long beep pause, long beep, etc. constantly. The Prewash light is on and the start light flashes every 0.5 second, no code in the flashes.

Constant flashing is usually indicative of a failure in the temperayute contrpl circuit. Try cancelling and re-setting to check whether it was a one-off.
