Whirlpool ADG450-3 wont work.

Hi,

My whirlpool adg450 won’t drain. I think it’s about 4 years old however I’ve only used it for the last 2 weeks as I’ve just moved in.

It got half way through a cycle and is now flashing on the 65icon.

Lights 50 – 65 – 65 are on with the last 65 flashing. Also the two lights at the end are on.

When I close the door it beeps once then does nothing. I managed to force it to drain by taking the service door of the bottom and putting my hand under the float but it wont go any further along the cycle.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I havnt got a clue what to do from here forwards.

Always best to describe the lights L-R, 1-5. If I understand what you’ve tried to explain correctly, the lights do not represent an error code.

It’s a SMEG-built machine, so a read of THIS ARTICLE may prove educational.

Just a quick update. I fixed it. Quite proud of myself. I’m not entirely sure what it was but I think it was a blockage. I basically unplugged a few pipes. Drained out every bit of remaining water and then ran the drain manually by tricking the float. Seemed to work.
