    Hiya,

Hope you might be able to help. My parents have an inbuilt Whirlpool ADG6340 dishwasher. Over the last few weeks the dishwasher light has been flashing on and off – seemingly stopping and restarting. It seems to be that the water has a problem draining away because they got a slight leak of water from the dishwasher over the floor.

We’ve checked the pipes at the back of the dishwasher and there is no clogging there.

I’ve taken out the filter and there is water below which hasn’t drained away (next to a small black grill). Any ideas?

    Hi Woggle,

The flashes will likely be an error code but, in order to know what it is we’d need to know how many flashes to be of much more help on that front.

There is always water in the sump after the machine has completed a cycle, that’s normal.

A basic fault finding guide is here though for dishwashers in general.

    Hiya,

I got 33 on / off flashes. Even then it didn’t sound right.

    Is 33 normal?
