    Whirlpool ADG734 dishwasher
I have came across two of these with similar behaviour.
The push button (resettable) thermal cutout has operated.
Reset the button & all goes well for up to 3 weeks.
I have replaced both this and the thermostat including putting heat sink paste on the thermostat but as yet have not got a permanent cure.
I suspect it may be popping during the drying cycle stage; then wont go past the heating stage of the next wash.
    Any ideas or experinces welcomed.
    Thanks in advance.

Apart from the thermostat itself, which you’ve already replaced, the most common thing we find is poor water circulation. Normally caused by lower spray arm blocked or worn. Sometimes the cutlery basket may be damaged as well allowing knives etc to drop through the bottom and stop the arm rotating.

Dishwasher fresheners also cause problems on occasion when hung from the upper basket in daft positions.
