Whirlpool ADG7470/1 (854274715001) Dishwasher Visual/Blink Code

Good afternoon all,

I’ve had a look at the above integrated dishwasher, and would appreciate any assistance with the fault/s.

Essentially, when a programme is set, the machine drains more than usual. i.e. drains, pauses, drains, pauses, seven or eight times. (for approx’ three minutes)

There is no attempt to draw water, and I noticed that the Off/Cancel button flashes eight times, pauses, flashes eight times…

However, I don’t know what the above relates to, and my recent online search suggests a ‘water level fault.’ (Whirlpool/generic on UKWhitegoods site)

As I’m recovering from knee surgery, and unfamiliar with the above any help would be appreciated. (I did remove and refit the dishwasher on site, but didn’t find anything of note, and also tried resetting the appliance to no avail.)

these machine are very prone to broken wires at the bottom of the door

but be careful as there are often multiple wires of the same colour

Sorry for the late update.

Having returned to have another look at the above dishwasher, the complete wiring harness is good, as far as I can possibly determine.

May have to admit defeat on this obscure fault.

well as far as i can see its not got a pressure switch (cant be certain as no official part breakdowns)

if its using virtual sensor technology then a worn drain pump will give this fault. the theory is that a pump that’s pumping water draws more current and so does a worn pump. so board thinks its still full

suggest you pull the drain pump and see if its stiff or has lots of shaft play

Yes, I agree Dave,

I couldn’t locate a pressure switch.

Not sure if I’ll have chance to confirm, and test further as the dishwasher is in rented accommodation, and the landlord is being slow in responding. (I sense they may be replacing the dishwasher.)

I’ll update if possible.
