I have a customer with this d/w and it was working fine before a plumber shortened the inlet hose because of a leak. She called us because from then it goes into a fault mode with six flashes (float meter problem?). So i thought i’ll put a new hose on and see what happens and now it goes into a fault mode with six flashes! (wall tap closed?) But i does start to fill!?!
Is the inlet hose length that critical or is the board down? any ideas? I’ve tried watching it with a cup of coffee in my hand but that didn’t work either!!!! 😕

    Hi Nigel,

The left hand water chamber has a water wheel with tacho counter on it, could be coincidence with plumber. The chamber can be a problem, rather than the board.

Kevin is right, the flowmeter (water wheel) sends pulses to the module, if it doesn’t get enough pulses it aborts the fill. At the same time the pressure switch operates and sends a signal to the module when a set amount of water has entered the cavity. If it takes too long to operate the pressure switch it again aborts.
Check the connector to the flowmeter, pull it off, tighten it and plug it back on is all it normally needs. Make sure the pressure switch isn’t gunged up.
I’ve also had this problem where the water flow has been too low, make sure there is good pressure and flow at the end of the hose.
    Hope this helps.

    Brian
