Hi, dishwasher has been out of action for nearly a fortnight and the wife can’t bear it any longer!
Currently getting error code of 3 intermittent flashes.
Machine has stopped mid cycle (pre soap dish opening).
For some weeks prior to the breakdown the machine had been making some odd noises. The sound is hard to describe but is something like a rather vigorous gushing sound, as though some super-heated water were thrashing about (imagine a kettle boiling).
    Hope this help!
PS: I visited this forum a couple of years ago and Penguin45 expertly guided through diagnosis and replacement of a failed heater tube!
Are you still out there Pengy 🙁

Hmm – same as last time then as far as the fault code is concerned.

Is the water actually heating? Is the water circulating? No circulation and some very strange things can happen.

Clear the fault by pressing and holding the start button. When the drain pump stops running, try the rinse programme. Give it a few minutes to do the drain/sluice bit of the programme and the open the door sharply. You should see water subsiding from the rotors. Do it fast enough, you might even get wet.

Check that first and report back.

    Hi Pengy
Sorry for the delay; been away for a few days.
Very pleased to say that I followed your advice re resetting and that seems to have cleared things up! Done 2 full 50 degree cycles without issue since!
In answer to your questions, yes the water is heating and there is flow from the rotors. Does this mean the problem is now cleared and are the earlier unusual noises causes for concern?
Fingers crossed that this is the end of the problems 😕
Thanks again Pengy for all your help; you are a star 😀
