I have a ADG9540/1WH which won’t start – by which I mean the start button is very intermittent… if you stand and press it a few hundred times it eventually starts up, otherwise it just sits there 🙁

I tried taking off the front panel and checking the control board – that seems fine, no loose connections that are relatively obvious. So most likely thing is presumably that the little switch under the button is dicky.

Is replacing the whole control board going to be the thing to do?
Has anyone a part code for that?
Or is there another standard fault which could have this effect?

    Cheers
    Nigel.

Does the start button flash a number of times?

Nothing flashes at all – it just behaves as though you haven’t pressed the button at all until suddenly on one press it registers it and fires up happily.
