Whirlpool ADP 4501 loud buzzing then shuts down but no codes

I have run 2 of the above dishwashers now for about 3 years and when one needed a new flow meter/fill chamber I kept if for spares as B&Q happened to be selling an ex display one for £135 ! Anyway last week the other 3 year old failed because of the front bearing failing on the wonderful Askoll circulation pump so jamming it up.
Being tight I swapped the fill chamber off this latest failure onto the other machine that had been stored for about 6 months and it worked fine for maybe 5 days but now has failed again but this time no codes and if I reset and watch it there is no problem until it has filled then there is a buzzing like a demented relay which seems to be coming from the bottom RHS of the machine and have a similar frequency buzzing friend from higher in the door as well? this carreis on for about a minute before the machine shuts down with no codes.
If I do a reset it will drain and do the whole thing again but if I pull the machine out ( ie shake it around a bit) it starts to wash fine for about 2 minute then the buzzing will start and we shut down again – before I pull it apart and look does anyone know what this is likely to be?

hi its sounds to me that your circ pump has gone, can you hear the spray arms going round

Looks like you are right – it is still pumping cos spray arms are spinning but was vibrating like a looney under there when I took the lower panel off to have a look – I am just looking at the replacements which I note are different and meant to last a bit longer – just seem a bit expensive when the whole dishwashers can be picked up so cheaply on offer

does it only make this noise when the spray arms are going round, if so it can only be the circ pump its the only moving part on the dishwasher apart from the drain pump, like you say those pumps aint cheap, if you want the part number for the circ pump send me the 12NC number or service number as its sometimes known and ill get you the part number
