Whirlpool ADP 500 WH rotating broken line in display

Hi I have the above dishwasher when cycle is selected the time comes up on the display, press start and water comes in and then stops and a broken rotating line comes up on the display and no error code.
I don’t have the s/n. Has anyone come across this before?

you might have to put it in service mode to find any code

would need the 12nc number as there are 6 machines with the same model and another 3 with an exra S on the end. may well be the same tech but you never know
