Whirlpool ADP 5540

Hi all, i have a whirlpool 5540 dishwasher that has been fairly well behaved up until now!
It is now not running through its wash cycles,each program works but it wont move onto to the following program and eventually times out,eg when normal wash is selected the pre rinse program will start but it wont move on to the wash program etc.
The start button illuminates as normal but dosent flash any codes.
Any ideas??

Probably a PCB failure, I’m afraid. There is one error condition which doesn’t show as an error code, but the programme completes; otherwise you should get a flashing light. Just “hanging up” is a bad sign,

PCB is rather expensive – pro-help may be your best option.

Many thanks for your reply,is there any way of putting the machine in a test mode? i have read about a switching machines off/on in certain sequences that will put it into a test mode. Is that the case with this dishwasher??

No, it’s the SMEG machines that do that.
