Whirlpool ADP 5966 – Timer Display Cycling

Hi

My Whirlpool ADP5966 stopped working yesterday with the timer display cycling around all numbers 00 – 24.

I can get the dishwasher to run a program if I hit the START button when the display shows 00 (takes timing!!). What has happened and is there any way to reset the machine, the usual 5 second hold of the START button to reset does not work.

Any advice gratefully received.. there are no error messages when the machine goes through its cycle.

Holding the start button in is the reset essentially but if that doesn’t work then it sounds like an electronic failure.

Engineer time really for an accurate diagnosis, check the repairs@ link below 🙂

Funnyly enough this problem has sorted itself out… a good hard bang against the door near the timer button seems to have cured the error.
