Whirlpool ADP 962 Flashing Rinse light during wash cycle

Hi All,
We have had the above machine for many years now and it has been faultless. Wait for it… until now.

During the initial wash cycle the green rinse status light starts to flash and the dish washer seems to get stuck in this mode.

We have many times cleaned and checked the filters etc during the wash cycle but it makes no differnce. (as per manual )

Eventually it moves on as normal and completes the cycle. Dishes seems to be clean but cycle takes a lot longer.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

What is the pattern of the flashing lamp? Ie 1-2-3-4-pause-repeat.

Thanks for the quick response.

No sequence just continous on off flashing. Even when it passes onto next stage it returnse to the flashing rinse cycle before moving onto the drying cycle.

Aha! The good old NTC problem….. Here’s the last one:

Different badge, same maker. If you put ‘Whirlpool AND ntc’ into Search for this for only, there are lots of examples. ‘Diplomat AND ntc’ works as well.

Hi Penguin,

I ordered the NTC part as advised and fitted. But problem is still there 😥 A bit disapointed as the part cost a fair bit but was simple to fit (*with power off).

Any more tips ? for a fix ?

It may be worth checking that the wires from the NTC to the module are in fact intact by checking the NTC plug contacts (unplugged) for a resistence reading across those terminals 😉
Failing that, you may have one of the rare cases with a module fault showing NTC fault (constant flashing) when its really itself that is faulty 😥
Without us being there, our advice is the best we can give with the experience and info we have 🙂
