Hi I have a whirlpool ADP4400 dishwasher, last night after just loading it turned on and we never thought anything about until later on checking the start light (green) is flashing, and the water has not pumped away.

I retried to turn on and nothing, we emptied the clean things, uncoupled everything and drained what water we could outside.

I checked the inlet and Outlet pipes which were all OK.

Could it be the pump has packed in, or a switch gone wrong or needs a little more work cleaning and unblocking. I am disabled and can do a fair amount of DIY repairs. left over from when I was at work.

    Advice and help appreciated

Not draining? Full of water? I think you’re right to suspect the drain pump. It could just be blocked so the next stage might be to unplug the machine and take a closer look around the drain pump.

Underneath where the drain hose terminates.

Have you ensured the drain sump inlet to the pump is clear though before going to all that trouble?
