Hi, I have the above dishwasher and last night my electricity CB trip switch tripped after resetting the CB i noticed my dishwasher’s power light was flashing in a 3 flash cycle, now when i run the machine it runs for 30 mins or a bit more then stops with the flashing power light, checking the water inside it is still cold, so from that I presume the heater is broken, but is there anything else which would cause the 3 flash fault and cause the water to stay cold? it fills ok and drains ok when i press and hold the power button in for a few seconds.

    Thanks

    John

Element is the prime suspect. Burnt out wiring can cause the same problem. PCB can fail to turn the heater on, but is unlikely to blow the fuse.

Only surefire way to find out is to get the multimeter out and perform a continuity test – heater should read around 25 ohms with no earth leakage.

THIS is the replacement element if required.

Stay safe, turn the power off before removing the bottom.

    Thanks for the response Penguin45

I thought as much, is the element easy to change? I’ve taken loads of washing machine and tumble dryers apart but never worked on a dishwasher.

    This should help:

Clips are fiddly, otherwise quite straightforward.

Just a wee update, got a new heater, replaced it (with proper clips) and it’s all working  so thanks for your help and advice 😀
