whirlpool adp5966 error code f1

adp 5966 on switch on on/off light flashes, f1 lights pump runs then stops and left with f1 error code, no fill. Whirlpool site no help. Valves, pipes ok so is fllod device. Can any wise guru please assist and point me in the right direction or have any idea as to the meaning of the f1 code . Many thanks for any info.

F1 is a failure in the temperature sensing circuit. Either the sensor, associated wiring or the electronics have failed.

Tricky one to get right, check repairs@ or Directories for a UKW repairer in your area.

Power off if you wish to investigate further.

Sorry for delay in answer but have been away due to bereavement in the family but many many thanks for your help the problem was due to a faulty thermistor.
