on christmas day we had the dreaded flood switch go on the dishwasher. The recirculation pump on the narrow side is perished. Normally I would replace this but since it is so costly i did a bodge job on it, since it was only a pin hole in the rubber.

Put it all back together. it ran for about 2min and then gives a f6 error. I can not find out what this error means.

can anyone shed any light on this subject.
Also is there a tool for closing the clips around the rubber on the pump. They are really hard to get back on.

That hose will have to be sorted. The pressure it has inside it is immense. Worm drive clips is the answer. Is the appliance filling with water?

i will have to wait untill tomorrow but i put it on rinse and there is water coming out of the spraw arm. I dont think I saw any water in the basin afterwards. Will have to check tomorrow.

I fixed it by inserting a small diameter flex hose into the pump housing and into the dishwasher. using mililtary strength silicone to reinforce the rubber. It has worked for me in the past for water mains pressure

I would still like to know what the error code is though. As if i remove the pump again i break the silicon seal which is fairly strong

It’s to do with water level control – the flow meter is the most likely suspect. Jammed/broken/dodgy connections all possible.

    Stay safe, power off.
