Whirlpool ADP755WH Dishwasher new Detergent Dispenser Differ

Hi

I have a problem with the Whirlpool ADP755 Dishwasher, the soap dispenser door lever was stuck, so the little soap door wouldn’t shut. After taking the door cover off I could see the screw etc onto the solenoid was rusted solid. I have ordered the new detergent dispenser unit and it is completely different to the old one.

The new one now has a solenoid on the Rinse Aid part too where as before it didn’t it worked manually.

My question is, is it ok to fit the new one to the card as there is now an extra wire from the rinse aid part? Can the old card take the extra load ok?

Doesn’t sound right……. Will you check the label down the edge of the door and post up the 12nc number – the one that starts with 8. I can double check whick part you should have ordered if you do so.

Many thanks for your prompt reply much appreciated! I have checked the number is 8542 755 53410 On a few parts websites I have noticed that the picture of the dispenser, the same as the one in the machine, says no longer available, alternative available, and it shows the same as the one I have with the 2 solenoids.

Was there not some of these, I can’t remember if it was Whirlpool or badged up Whirlpool’s, that had a conversion from a single to a double solenoid dispenser? I seem to recall one and it was a bit of a pain to change.

Where was it you got the part from as they should be able to tell you this if that’s the case?

I am in Australia (ex UK) I bought the dishwasher over here and used a Whirlpool agent here for the part.

I will give him a call tomorrow and see what he says, he was adamant that it was for my model. I am sure it is a Whirlpool all labels etc are Whirlpool.
