Whirlpool ADP903 Dishwasher Flashing light

Could anyone please help me?! I have bought this dishwasher second hand. When I connected it up and started a programme, I could hear the pump come on to drain off water, and that was it…… the start light then starts flashing, but the manual does not explain why; it just says that this indicates a fault. I checked the water was on, and that the filter at the back of the machine is clear, and it is. You can see water trickling in, so there is no blockage. Have tried several times, but gets no further than this.
Is this likely to ba a valve, or the control panel? And, is this likely to be costly to repair?

hi,

with power on push and hold start button for 5 seconds, release and see if the electronics resets.

If not with power on push and hold start button for 3 seconds and select no 1 on the programme selector, release the start switch.
This puts your appliance into a test mode where any failure will be diplayed by a sequence of lit LEDs please take note of the lit ones, if you come back here with a fault sequence.

There is equipment available to a small minority of repairers who may be able to reset the eeprom on your PCB, but the cost to my knowledge is currently £72.50 for the call out.
