Participanti have been having a couple problems with this dryer recently.
1. the filter warning light stays on even when the door filter and the unit above the water container have been cleaned out
2. the timer is occasionally sticking and thus the machine doesnt go through to cool down and stop until i remember to go and move the timer to the last bit
3. the last 3 loads i have done no water has been collected in the water container but also hasnt been over the floor or obviously wet anywhere.i had a repair man out and he suggested it needed a new programming unit to fix these faults.
ive spent this morning reading and hunting on google and cannot find any evidence of such a unit existing so does such a thing exist?
is it likely that the back or top/sides pr something needs to come off and all the fluff which must be getting past the filters needs cleaned up and that is all?
(and i have had it on this morning and there is now a smell of damp coming form the dryer)dryer is just 3 years old and has been used only on average one or two loads a month.
thanks in advance for any help/sugestions.

incidentally i have no intention of trying to fix this myself, i just want to know what might be wrong/is likely to fix it before i call out another repairer or give up and buy a new dryer selling this one as in need of repairing.

AWZ650?
There is an electro mechanical timer unit on this machine – straight behind the knob. It’s about £65, plus VAT etc. However, the first thing to do is find the blockage in the channels under the drum, as the base is gradually filling with water. Your repairer will need to remove the drum and split the ducting to clean it all out properly.
If you were dissatisfied with your previous repairer, please use the link below for a UKW repairer in your area.
