Ok, I have posted in the other thread, which mainly seemed to concern clicking relays, spurting water and intermittent ice, and the need to change rear pcb or caps. I’ve changed caps and have no clicking, ice or water problems…….. but then never did ;(
I’ve started this thread as I’m wondering if mine is a defrost problem??. I’ve now defrosted freezer at least 3 times, and it works perfectly after this, up to -18, no flashing — and no warning triangle. Compressor is running, and evaporator fan is running with door closed. After about a week, evaporator is iced up again, and we’re back to flashing signs again.
Is there a defrost timer and thermostat on this model, I’m assuming its the new type, built into a board somewhere rather than a manual one. Could anyone tell me where they are located, if they can be tested…………..or are they built in to the rear pcb.Its just something else I want to eliminate. I have now replaced all four caps on the board (thanks for the tip cockney steve).
Model is Model Number FRSS36AF25/3

I’ve got to find out if this tin box is defrosting ok. I assume the evaporator should be clear of all ice/frost??
Thanks
