Whirlpool AKG217 Oven

Hi Folks.

I need to order an oven fan motor for the above but the model number plate is badly obliterated.

Can anyone tell me if 481936118122 and 481936178184 are interchangeable?. Both these motors are used on the AKG217.

Hi Mike,

The 2 motors you note are not interchangable according to the whirlpool disc. Without the service no. it isn`t possible to say which motor you need.

The AKG217 uses 3 different ones. The 2 you mention and 481936118261. This one and the first one you mention are obsolete although Connect have a pattern one for 481936118122.

The service nos for all the variants are similar apart from the last 3 digits. Would it be possible to make these 3 digits out on the plate?

Thanks for that Barrie.

The service number is almost rubbed off, particularly the last few digits.

I will order and take the CDSL pattern spare, but it looks like if thats no going to fit it will be another for the scrap heap.
