Hi. Wondering if someone can help me with my cooker hood (Whirlpool AKG958GY). It’s stopped working.
Last night I noticed that the light hadn’t gone off when I closed the hood. Tonight the fan was running at variable speed. It would slow down then speed up. After a while it stopped altogether. I thought I’d give it one last go a wee while ago and indeed the fan did run for a bit but this time the light flickered and I got smoke from the side bit where the switches for the light and fan speed are.
Anyway, I suspect that under the panel with the switches there are some sort of control electronics and last week during a cleaning frenzy I’ve managed to get some water in there. Could someone just confirm this is probably right before I delve in and remove the cover?
