    Hi there,

I’ve just bought a new element from yourselves and fitted it into the oven and was quite chuffed with my efforts until……the inner door fell in!

Can anyone tell me how to get to the inside of the inner door i.e how to remove the inner door so that I can clean it up and attempt to rebond it….And or where to get the service manual/user guide.

Also I understand that the outer doors cost an arm and a leg to replace – are they easily broken? Does anyone have any tips on how to avoid this happening?

Many Thanks in advance for your assistance.

    Regards

    Hi
You can re-bond them but personally I would replace the inner door which has been factory bonded.

The part is 481944239501, this part if required is available from spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk 🙂

If you want to rebond it, this is the stuff you want:

You must ensure that surfaces are thoroughly degreased, and allow 24 hours for the glue to fully bond. Weighting down the glass will ensure a better seal.

Thanks for the advice guys, I’ve decided on the glue on the basis that the factory bonding didnt last very long at all. Next novicey question is how do I separate the inner door assembly from the outside glass. Once again, any advice or pointers would be appreciated. Thanks again.
