Whirlpool AKP951 double oven: Grill turning itself off

Hi All

We have a two year old one of these and whilst using the grill it has started turning itself off at random. Both the thermostat light and the function selector knob lights go out. It will come back on all by itself if left.

Main oven is fine.

Any ideas?

Either the cooling fan,(not the one that circulates the heat)which sits at the rear and can only be acessed by removing oven from cupboard has failed or the wee thermostat that controls it has failed.
It normally operates when the oven gets to 45c and blows cool air around the casing,if it doesn’t work and starts getting too hotaround the casing there is a safety cut out which will cut off the power and doesn’t come back on until it’s cooled down,more likely to occur on grill than oven.
UNPLUG first before any actions.
