ParticipantApart from the odd motor coupling go never had many dealings with these. No model number as all the writing has been cleaned off.
I’m presuming the gearbox is fuffed as it tries to turn on the wash and knocks around slowly instead of agitates.
There is a reported no spin as well could that the box at fault as well.
Is it a big job and any idea on prices, the customer is searching for any paperwork tonight re model etc so I’ll have more info later.TC

done a few of these there is a clutch above gear box that can wear and slip sometimes, also the tub can leak water on the clutch causing it to slip. i think gear box is about 100 quid. three bolts underneath hold it in and one in center of agitator then box should slid out. i find it easier to remove motor first

Thanks for the help. This customer is a care home owner and even when hinted at to give me some space, stayed looking over my shoulder the whole time. When given the diagnosis disagreed and said he thought it was clothing stuck in the drum :rolls:

Quoted customer for gearbox, clutch & drive coupling this week.
I always quote for the full repair as I like the payment to clear before it breaks down again.Decided to buy himself a new one from Makro £349.99 + VAT with the view that if it only lasts two or three years its paid for itself.
These things used to cost £600+ and were a good earner on repairs.Oh well at least he paid up for the call out.
Happy days 😥
