digital display flickering & going off, appliance still runs.
Any ideas what i should be looking for?

i also have one with a dodgy display is this the kind i have read about where you have to change both pcbs or is that when the main one is faulty?

dont know the part no im afraid,
but i can say i have fitted 10 + whilst doing some whirlpool work and only ever fitted front pcb..no probs..ally

id be checking connector block under hinge cover on top of door 1st before ordering anything.

possible, defo worth checking,,but unlikely if its a loose connection display would normaly be blank ?…
this flickering is a known fault with these w/pool models..

The versions I have had (858616615010) not only does the display flicker but you can here relays clicking. Whirlpool have modified the main board ( fitted rear bottem) for this fault and depending on model you may have to change both boards.
The is a topic already started somewhere which has some of the differences on

Hiyas,
If the serial number begins 110330 or lower then both boards have to be replaced.
After this date code the machine is fitted with the later electronics and individual boards can be replaced.
Any early appliance that has previously had the boards replaced are, of course, treated the same as the newer appliances.
