Whirlpool american firdge s20drbb32 Fridge freezing contents

Firstly Hello everyone, I have looked in the search site but could not find my model of fridge. The problem has only started recently. The fridge has started to freeze the contents. The temperature is set at the factory setting of 5degrees. I have increased it to 6degrees to see if anything would change but it is still the same.
i have read that it could be the thermostat or the circuit boards but was wondering if anyone could shed some light. Also would this be a DIY job or would it require an engineer.

had same trouble with mine,turned out to be the motorized baffle situated in the top left hand corner of the fridge.HTH 8)

Hello Wards, would you say it was a diy job or would I be better off getting an engineer to look at it?

depends on how competent you are,if in doubt call one of our whitegoods engineers out to promptly rectify your fault HTH 8)

Hello all. Just an update. Turned off the fridge/freezer for a couple of days and al is working now. Strange.

possibly the motorised baffle froze up seen one or two before 🙂
