I have read the 50+ pages on the forum on Whirlpool American FF, but it seems that the suggested solutions don’t apply to my model, although the problems seem similar 🙁

1. constant clicking noise
2. the appliance’s compressor seems to be running most of the time
3. there was an ice build up behind the back plate and the freezer stopped cooling

I have removed a build up of dust at the front grill and defrosted the FF. This worked for a few days (although the clicking noise started again after a few hours), but frost build up again.

Do you have any advice?

update: Bought a rear PCB and installed it. Problem remained.

The clicking is coming from the PCB board. Defrosting works for a few weeks. A day or so before the freezer stopes working, the fridge part of the FF becomes really cold, even freezing. Any advice? Thank you
