Whirlpool American fridge freezer – cutting out

Hi I have recently bought the above appliance, roughly 7 years old, and am having an issue with the freezer section. It seems to get to temperature and then cut out, the fan is working, the ice pack are freezing then de frosting, the grill is not clogged jo with dust as I gave it a good clean when I got it, the appliance was left to stand for well over 24 hours after transportation and that’s all I think. I live in the Bournemouth area. Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks

Check that its defrost heater is working

Think I have located this part of the freezer. Should it be slightly warm minted after turning the freezer on or when the freezer starts to ice up? Thanks
