whirlpool american fridge freezer help please

Hi All

I have just come across this great forum whilst trying to find an answer to my problem and have joined hoping one of you may be able to help me
I have a whirlpool American fridge freezer model no FRBB36AF20/0 and have 2 problems with it
1. the fan in the freezer compartment has started to run constantly and stays on all the time but it does go off if I open either door

2. When I turn the ice maker on I get a constant clicking noise and it seems as though either It will not produce ice OR it takes a very long time to do it

I would be very grate full if anyone can help in this matter as I would like to try and order the replacement parts and replace them myself if possible as money is tight at the minute and I cant afford to buy a new unit

Is it getting down to temperature as, if not, then the fan likely would run constantly?

Thanks for the replies, yes the fridge and freezer are getting down to the correct temperature but its the fan it is constantly running but it goes of if I open either door
