whirlpool american tallboy fridge/freezer – fridge too cold!

I have a whirlpool american fridge/freezer (2-3 yrs old) and although it has a temperature gauge inside which swings from 1-4-1 the middle being the ideal, even at its so called warmest setting my fridge is far too cold to the extent sliced meats are becoming frosty – frozen!
The freezer compartment is fine. I have cleaned it all out but still to no avail.

Could you post the model number from the rating plate inside the fridge please Pat, we can them advise of possible causes 😀

Sorry Dave,
the Type No should read ARZ740/W
The only other number is code 8586-740-01000
the model number remains the same maybe the ‘O’s should read as noughts!

Hiya, As far as I remember this appliance has thermostats fitted. Could be a faulty fridge stat causing the problem.
