ParticipantHiya Fellas
My APDW 12 is playing up again.
Pumps out ok
Start cycle hear it fill then appears to go to heat cycle. Then get a vibration which i have traced to what looks like a second pump which might circulate the water as it heats. It was vibrating against the bottom which stopped when lifted.
Heater appears to work (i assume its a heater grey cylinderical shaped thing which gets hot) connected to what i think is a circulation pump.
Anyway gets to that stage then nothing just the vibration. Mrsw said all the lights were flashing on top panel.
Anyoune help out please?
Cheers

First things first… can you check that model number and, if correct, can you give us the 12NC number off the rating plate? It seems not to exist.
If the main circulation pump doesn’t run, the one attached to the heater, then it’d do this and they are known to fail if it’s the one I think it is.
Also, knowing what lights are flashing, as it’s an error code, would help.

That is possibly Whirlpool APDW/2
If the pump is not jammed but gone then the part would be

Cheers fellas
ive taken apart the circulation pump and found that the steel around impeller shaft appears cracked (is this the magent or is it in the motor) .I assume its not supposed to be like this but i cant imagine what could have caused such a major crack like this. Its a pretty hefty piece of steel/magnet.
Cant post a piccy dont understand the url businessany way there are 2 cracks opposite each other and run the full length of steel/magnet.
Have i found my fault???

It was the pump.
Paid 60 quid for one off ebay free delivery and brand new. No clips though so get hold of some as well. Stainless jubilee will work as the stainless have a narrower band that will fit the hoses. -
