Whirlpool ARC1738 Tall Fridge Parts

Hi There

I am having a few problems with my fridge. The full model number is:

ARC1738 850117315010

It runs and gets cold inside with some ice on the backplate but it turns of way to quick and stays of for a very long time, to the point where it is almost warm inside before it clicks back in again.

When it clicks of the pot is only slighty warm and the tray on top of the pot is full of water. So the pot isnt getting over warm. I think its just the relay cutting out to early.

What I want to do is replace the stat and the relay. Might as well do them both. But I cant for the life of me find a relay or a stat for this fridge.

Well I am a little suprised to be honest. Was quoted £40 without vat and postage on here for a stat. E-Spares sold me the same thing £18 posted. That is a HUGE amount more then it is worth. Not really good.

A quick check reveals that the part number for the stat for your appliance is 481927129703

from HERE in the UK Whitegoods shop it is £42.18 + £2.95 postage

From HERE at Espares the same stat is £44.99 + £5.99 postage. ❓
