Went to a Whirlpool American style today and as soon as the appliance is switched on, it continually takes water overfilling the ice tray and leaking. As soon as the power is switched off at the wall, the water stops.
Normally if it’s leaking water then I would go for the water valve but I’d expect it would still leak when the power is switched off, which isn’t the case here.
Cheers. We actually spoke to Whirlpool today and they are saying they are confident from the fault that it’s a blocked or deteriorating hose between the valve and the ice maker so going to have to get back out and check it over fully.
