I’ve had this machine for around 10 years. I’ve just put a washload on and I’m getting a not very pleasant and quite strong smell wafting through the house. It seems as though something is leaking.
The smell is strongest in the built in cupboard which opens into my hall. The wall/cupboard separates the kitchen from the hall and the side of the washing machine is next to this wall. The cupboard is home to the gas and electricity meter, and although there’s no sign of any dampness in it, it’s quite worrying. There’s no strange smell in the kitchen itself and, without actually lugging the machine out, which I’d find physically impossible, no apparent dampness.
Any ideas? Am I looking at replacing my machine? Should I be worried?!
