Please can you elaborate more for us?
Does it drain OK? Spin? Wash? Heat? etc etc, when it stops how do you start it again??? :con:

It stops between cycle 1 and 2 during the spin sequence and sometimes just before it finishes the complete wash programme.
It washes, drains and when it spins all the way to the end of whatever programme it was started on it seems to be working OK.To get it going again it just needs to be slightly turned in the right direction.
Hope this is a bit clearerApril 17, 2006 at 7:31 am #173233Martin

Ermmm, not sure, but from your explanation I suspect it is not heating (on the wash part of the cycle). And that is why it sticks between 1 and 2 (the point where the heater should be on). Simply by clicking it on a degree or two past the heat stop point, it carries on as normal.
Conclusion = new heating element required 😉

Hi Martin
The spin cycle on this machine is numeric and comes after the wash programmes which are letters a,b,c, etc so it is only stopping during the final spinning programmes.
The main washing cycle is okay heating and draining etc it just stops after number 1 on the spinning sequence
Hope this helps a bit more..Donny

Maybe the ‘Rinse Hold’ is set? When it stops is it full of rinse water?

No the drum is empty what should happen next is that it should spin again to further spin out any water absorbed in the wash clothes but it does not move onto the next cycle (one of four which should all run after each other)

If it only stops at one point, and it’s always the same point, there is almost certainly a fault in the programme controller itself.
P/no is 4812 282 18978, last price I had was £178. Plus VAT. An out and out rip off in my opinion.
Decision time……..

If you’re replacing, do check out the ISE machine. A rather superior beast with a unique service package. Check the front page or http://www.iseappliances.co.uk
