whirlpool awm 327- softener not draining away

hi
would anyone know why this is happening the softener is draining partly and then the drawer is filling with water, despite cleaning the drawer each time nothing helps.

Remove soap drawer from machine and look up into the roof of the soap box. There should be various holes to allow water to run into the various compartments, and the ones for the softener section are so ans soes for clogging up. Scrub with brush first, if no improvement you will need a pipecleaner, tierap or any skinny flexible medieum to rod back through the holes.
