Washing machine is about 2 years old, has been ok but recently stops between A and B in the program. Doesn’t matter what program is starts out on, always stops just after passing A.

It fills ok, drains ok and spins ok. I have pressed the “wash and hold” button on and off thinking it might have been that, but no fix.

There is a bit of clinking and clanking when it first powers up, and some high pitched whins during the start of the spin that then disappear when its on max spin, but I put that down to needing some WD40…

Any info appreaciated, thank you (as ever, cracking site!)

I think it’s heating, at least the washing is coming out all clean. Did two washes last night and it went thru the cycles completely! Then put one on before going to bed, checked it this morning and it had stuck on one of the rinses, clicked it over then it stopped just after the A again.

Intermittent fault, are they the worst??

    Indeed 😕

A thorough check of all components is necessary to locate the culprit that’s for sure. 😉

Took the top of the machine in the hope that a loose wire would be sticking out and obvious. No such luck. Made sure all connections where tight, then put the lid back on, and belive it or not everything now works!!

Does this make me a washing machine repair person..?
